In this workshop, co-presented by Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls and Austin Bat Cave, students will learn interviewing tips and techniques that they’ll put into practice in a super-fun SXSW music showcase! The workshop will focus on interview essentials such as doing your interview homework, setting interview goals, and balancing fun conversation with getting the job done. After the workshop, several girls will be chosen (based on interest and performance) to interview the bands playing at Wednesday’s SXSW showcase, “Smart Girls at the Bat Cave.”1:30 Hospital Ships

ABC's teaching an interview workshop to Amy Poehler's Smart Girls before the event. During it, the smart girls will be utilizing those skills learned, and interviewing bands after they play. Any donations collected will benefit ABC's free writing programs for kids. Let's showcase some smart girls!!!
