The Fred Durst Society of the Humanities and Arts & Lewis Carnegie

The city of Austin, Texas, may have bitten off more than it can chew, swallow and — well, you know what comes next.

Austin's Solid Waste Services Department decided it needed a new name. Something with a bit more panache. So it put it to the people of Austin in an online vote. So far, their overwhelming choice seems to be "The Fred Durst Society of the Humanities and Arts." God help us all.

Lewis Carnegie was asked by our best buds at Em-Dash to help illustrate a possible identity and its application to better understand the visual potential of this very important endeavor.

The story is running in the April issue of Austin Monthly.  Pick it up.  Em-Dash is working with the magazine and it looks awesome.
